Outsourced HR Dallas, TX
Outsourced HR services in Dallas, handled by one senior person you know
For small to mid-market companies, about 15 to 80 people. I’m based in Waxahachie and meet around Dallas–Fort Worth when it helps. The same senior HR is available by phone and video anywhere in the US. Remote HR support.
Most Dallas owners who look for outsourced HR are not trying to build a department. They want the HR work off their desk: the hiring paperwork, the policy questions, and the employee issue that has been simmering for a month. They also want someone who picks up the phone and already knows their business when they do.
That is the work I do. I'm John Singleton, SHRM-CP, and I run Quick HR Solutions. I spent more than 16 years in senior HR roles at companies like TCS, Coforge, and Mastek, running HR across multiple states and sites. Now I take on the HR work for owner-led businesses in Dallas-Fort Worth, usually companies with about 20 to 80 employees and nobody whose full-time job is HR.
What outsourced HR usually means, and what it means here
When people say "outsourced HR," they can mean very different things. Some mean a PEO, where an outside company becomes the co-employer of your staff and bundles payroll, benefits, and HR support into one package. Some mean a software platform that stores files and sends reminders. Some mean a large firm with a support line and a rotating team.
My version is simpler. You outsource the HR work to one senior person. You stay the employer. Your payroll and benefits stay where they are unless you want to change them. What moves off your plate is the thinking and the doing: the questions, the documents, the processes, and the hard conversations.
What you can hand off
We don't start from a menu. We start with what is keeping you up at night. These are the pieces Dallas owners most often hand off:
- Hiring and onboarding. Job descriptions, a consistent interview process, offer letters, and a first week that makes people want to stay. That includes the paperwork that slips in a busy year, like I-9s and Texas new-hire reporting.
- Handbooks and policies. A handbook that sounds like your company and reflects Texas and federal rules, plus the policies you actually need and nothing you don't.
- Employee relations. Two people who can't work together, a complaint that needs a fair look, or a manager who avoids hard conversations.
- Performance management. Reviews, goals, and improvement plans that are fair, documented, and simple enough that managers actually use them.
- Pay structures. Pay ranges that make sense inside your company and hold up in the Dallas labor market, plus a clear answer on which roles should be salaried or hourly.
- HR systems. Choosing or cleaning up the tools you use for employee records, time off, and onboarding.
- Compliance check-ups. A look at what you have in place, what is missing, and what to fix first.
Outsourced HR vs. a PEO vs. an HR platform
None of these options is wrong. They solve different problems.
A PEO can make sense when your main headache is benefits pricing and payroll administration. The tradeoff is that you sign on to a co-employment arrangement and a bundled package, and the HR help comes as part of that bundle.
An HR platform is good at storing documents and running workflows. It will not sit with you before you let someone go, and it will not tell you whether your contractor setup is a problem.
Outsourced HR with me works alongside either one. Plenty of owners keep their payroll provider or PEO and bring me in for the judgment and the hands-on work those tools don't do. If you are weighing your options, that is a perfectly good thing to talk through on a first call.
How it works with a Dallas business
We start with a free 15-minute conversation. You tell me what is on your plate, and you leave with a clear next step, even if that step doesn't involve me.
If it's a fit, we pick the shape of the work. Some owners want ongoing fractional support for a set number of hours each month. Others want a one-time project, like a handbook rewrite or a new hiring process, and then they're done. Ongoing plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract, and pricing is posted on the site so you know what to expect before we talk.
I'm based in the Metroplex, in Waxahachie, just south of Dallas. I'll come to your office, your warehouse, or your job site when being there in person helps. The rest happens by phone, video, and email, and you'll hear back from me the same business day.
Who this is a good fit for
Outsourced HR with Quick HR Solutions tends to work well for Dallas owners who:
- have somewhere around 20 to 80 employees and no full-time HR person
- are the one everyone brings people problems to, and are ready to stop
- are growing and know the paperwork and processes haven't kept up
- want a senior person who knows their name, not a ticket number
It is not a replacement for an employment attorney. I handle practical HR: process, people, and Texas employer practice. When something needs a legal opinion, I'll tell you so, and I'm glad to work alongside your attorney.

Frequently asked questions
- What does outsourced HR cost for a small Dallas business?
- Ongoing support is month-to-month and priced by the number of hours you need each month. One-time projects can be billed hourly. Current rates are listed on the Quick HR Solutions pricing page, and there is no long-term contract, so you can adjust or pause as your needs change.
- Do I have to change payroll providers or join a PEO?
- No. You stay the employer, and your payroll and benefits can stay exactly where they are. Many owners keep their payroll provider or PEO and bring in Quick HR Solutions for the hands-on HR work and judgment those services don't cover.
- Can I outsource just one HR project, like a handbook?
- Yes. Many owners start with a single project, such as an employee handbook, a hiring process, a pay structure, or one difficult employee situation. When the project is done, you can stop there or move to ongoing support.
- Will you come to our office in Dallas?
- Yes, when being there in person helps. John is based in Waxahachie, just south of Dallas, and meets with owners across the Metroplex. Most day-to-day work happens by phone, video, and email, with a same-business-day reply.
- Is outsourced HR the same as legal advice?
- No. Quick HR Solutions provides practical HR guidance on process, people, and Texas employer practice. When a situation needs a legal opinion, John will say so and work alongside your employment attorney.
